<br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on February 28, 2005, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the Regular meeting held February 7, 2005, and the Workshop held February 14, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-060 <br /> <br />CLERK’S BUSINESS <br /> <br />Surplus Property <br /> <br />For the past several months, the Information Technology Coordinator for the Township has <br />collected all of the Township’s older computer equipment that has been put in storage. He has <br />put together as many systems as possible, and all of the equipment and systems are of little <br />value. At this time staff is requesting the attached list of computer hardware and associated <br />equipment be declared surplus property, having no more value or use to Washington <br />Township, and that they be sold at auction. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board declares surplus computer <br />equipment to be less than $2,500.00 in value and no longer needed by the Township. Said <br />equipment is to be sold at auction. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-061 <br /> <br />The recreation center has two obsolete hoist weight machines that they would like to donate to <br />Centerville City Schools. The machines are of no value to Washington Township and <br />Centerville City Schools has expressed an interest in them. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board of Trustees authorizes <br />donating two hoist weight machines to the Centerville City School District, said machines <br />having no more value to Washington Township. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-062 <br /> <br />Training <br /> <br />The Township Accounting Supervisor does the majority of work in preparation of the <br />Township’s Five-Year Financial Plan and Current Year Budget. In order to stay abreast of <br />current trends in budgeting, staff is requesting permission to send the Accounting Supervisor <br />to the Advanced Governmental Budgeting Seminar sponsored by the Ohio GFOA. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board authorizes sending <br />Accounting Supervisor James Boehmer to the Advanced Governmental Budgeting Seminar, <br />sponsored by the Ohio GFOA, April 18 through April 19, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio, for the <br />approximate cost of $828.00. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye.
