<br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on March 21, 2005, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. Clerk-Treasurer Tom Zobrist was excused. Acting Clerk- <br />Treasurer Michael A. Barlow was present. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Snyder, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the Regular meeting held March 7, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Snyder, aye; Blair, abstained. M2005-091 <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the Workshop held March 14, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-092 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />Lieutenant Sharon Drude completed 27 years of distinguished service to the Washington <br />Township community as a paramedic. The Trustees recognizeed her dedication with a <br />proclamation. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board adopts the following <br />Proclamation recognizing Sharon Drude’s dedication to Washington Township. <br /> <br />Sharon Drude <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Sharon Drude joined the Washington Township Fire Department on July 19, 1977, <br />as a part-paid volunteer emergency medical technician and since that time has maintained a <br />distinguished record of service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> she earned paramedic certification in 1978 and was promoted in 1979 to the <br />position of squad leader; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Drude’s leadership ability and commitment to her job prompted the Fire <br />Department to name her acting lieutenant in 1986 and permanent lieutenant in 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Drude devoted ten years, from 1983 to 1993, to coordinating public first aid and <br />CPR classes for residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> her outstanding performance merited the Employee Award of Excellence in 1994. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED <br /> that the Washington Township Trustees commend <br />Sharon Drude for 27 years of distinguished service to our community and wish her well on her <br />retirement from emergency medical service. <br /> <br />Proclaimed this 21st day of March 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye.
