<br /> <br />WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES <br /> July 26, 2010 <br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Zoning Appeals met in regular session on July 26, 2010 in the <br />Conference Room of Washington Township Development Services. Members of the Board present were <br />Mr. Horine, Mrs. Miller, Mr. McDaniel, Mr. Roberts and Mrs. Mulligan. Mrs. Fish and Mr. Schwartz <br />were excused. <br /> <br />Call to order. <br /> <br />Mr. Horine explained the hearing format and voting procedure. <br />The Oath was administered by Mr. Horine. <br />Case # A-1613 Lowell & Mamie Harshman, 6018 Mad River Road <br /> <br />Request under Article 2, Section 3(E) for variance to Article 7, Section 3(D) of the Washington Township <br />Zoning Resolution to allow construction of a garage of 1350 sq ft exceeding the permitted maximum of <br />720 sq ft for such an accessory structure, located in a Residential (R-4) Zoning district. <br /> <br />James Wahl, Zoning Manager, presented the case. <br />Mr. Wahl advised the Board that Mr. Harshman is requesting to have a building large enough to put all of <br />his equipment, mowers, and vehicles into. He does not want to have multiple buildings that do not <br />provide an adequate level of security for his equipment. <br />Mr. McDaniel- The current driveway cut is not shown on that plot plan, correct? <br />Mr. Wahl- No, it is further south of the property. <br />Mr. Horine- The dimensions of the building looks like its 30x45 which is about a 4 car garage but deeper. <br />Mrs. Miller- Is there already an attached garage? <br />Mr. Wahl- Yes, there is a 2-car garage. <br />Mrs. Mulligan- The attached garage is about 500 square feet, correct? What is the total square footage of <br />the garages? <br />Mr. Wahl- There will be a total of 1350 square feet of detached garage. The attached garage is a 2 ½ <br />garage. <br />Mrs. Miller- What is the acreage of the lot? <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
