The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on February 11, 2008, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Young opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br />It was moved by Mr. Snyder, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the pre- meeting <br />minutes and the minutes of the Regular meeting held February 4, 2008. <br />Vote on Motion: Snyder, aye; Blair, aye; Young, aye. M2008 -055 <br />FISCAL OFFICER'S BUSINESS <br />Public Hearing - Lighting District # 3 <br />The Township's Fiscal Officer notified the Trustees on January 14, 2008, of a street lighting <br />petition received from Divided Ridge Associates, Ltd., Oberer Residential Construction, Ltd., <br />Kaiser's American Homecraft, Ltd., and Jeffrey and Melinda Dubois for Washington Trace <br />Sections 3 and 4. Under the Ohio Revised Code, a public hearing must be held within 30 days <br />of notification to the Trustees; and 15 days prior, all landowners must be notified of the <br />hearing. All landowners have been notified. If approved by the Trustees, a contract with <br />Miami Valley Lighting will be signed. The developer has agreed to pay all of the up -front <br />installation costs. Thereafter, the monthly lease of the poles and fixtures and yearly lighting <br />fees for usage will be assessed to the property owners. <br />Since no one had any comments concerning this lighting district and there was another lighting <br />district hearing following this one, Mrs. Young postponed closing the hearing until after the <br />second one was heard. <br />Public Hearing - Lighting District # 4 <br />The Township's Fiscal Officer notified the Trustees on January 14, 2008, of a street lighting <br />petition received from Divided Ridge Associates, Ltd. and Oberer Residential Construction, <br />Ltd. for Washington Trace Section 5. Thereafter, the monthly lease of the poles and fixtures and yearly <br />lighting fees for usage will be assessed to the property owners. <br />Since there were no comments or discussion, Mrs. Young closed both hearings. <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mr. Snyder, that the Board approves the Resolution for <br />a lighting district for Washington Trace Sections 3 and 4, called Washington Trace Lighting <br />District #3, for eight acorn style fixtures and fluted cast aluminum poles, and that the Board <br />also authorizes the Township Administrator to enter into a contract with Miami Valley Lighting <br />for said lighting district. <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Snyder, aye; Young, aye.
