The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on June 20, 2005, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the pre- meeting workshop held June 6, the Regular meeting held June 6, 2005, and the <br />workshop held June 13, 2005. <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005 -212 <br />CLERK'S BUSINESS <br />Personnel <br />Lisa Perry, payroll technician I, will complete her six -month probationary period as of June 27, <br />2005. Lisa was a part -time payroll employee with the clerk's office for several years prior to <br />being approved as full -time. Mike Barlow, finance director, is recommending Lisa for regular <br />employee status effective June 22, 2005. <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board appoints Lisa Perry, payroll <br />technician I, to regular employee status, at grade 5, step 4, effective June 22, 2005. <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005 -213 <br />Resolution to County Auditor <br />The current five -year operating levy for the police expires at the end of the year. To maintain <br />the Township's contract with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and to keep the high <br />level of police services that the Township enjoys today, it is necessary to replace the expiring <br />two mill levy with another two mill levy. Under Section 5705.03 (B) of the Ohio Revised Code, <br />a resolution requesting the County Auditor to certify to the Township the total current tax <br />valuation of the unincorporated area of Washington Township and the dollar amount of <br />revenue that would be generated by a specified amount of mills is required. Once certification <br />from the County Auditor is received, the Trustees may authorize a resolution to place the levy <br />on the ballot. At this time staff is requesting approval of a resolution for County Auditor <br />Certification. <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board adopts the resolution <br />requesting County Auditor Certification to be adopted on this day, June 20, 2005. <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. R2005 -004 <br />Appropriation Adjustment <br />The Township appropriation resolution is prepared prior to the end of each year and is based <br />on estimated revenues and expenses for the current year. The county's Certificate of <br />Estimated Resources is based on actual year -end numbers supplied by the Township in <br />January. The Township may not appropriate more than what is reflected in the Certificate of <br />06/20/05 <br />
