M2005 -075
CLERK'S BUSINESS
McMRF
On November 3, 2000, the Trustees approved entering into a Memorandum of Understanding
to join the Materials Reuse Program (McMRF) with the Montgomery County Solid Waste
District. McMRF is funded by the Montgomery County Solid Waste District and is operated by
the Montgomery County Public Works Department. If it was not for McMRF, once a set is built
for a play at Town Hall and the play is over, due to the lack of storage space the materials
used for the play would be thrown away. Through the McMRF program, the Township is able
to donate these materials to Montgomery County; and when Town Hall needs to build another
prop, they can retrieve materials not only donated from the Township, but also from donations
made countywide. This reduces the Township's cost for building props for each play and gives
the Township the opportunity to recycle material. This year the Township needs to renew the
Memorandum of Understanding with McMRF.
It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Snyder, that the Board approves entering into a
Memorandum of Understanding to join the Material Reuse Program (McMRF) with Montgomery
County Solid Waste District as proposed in the their agreement.
Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Snyder, aye.
