The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on May 5, 2003 at 7:30 <br />p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President Young <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mr. Snyder, that the Board approves the minutes of the <br />Regular meeting held April 21, 2003. <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Snyder, aye; Young, aye. M2003 -160 <br />CLERK'S BUSINESS <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board approves the Regular Check <br />Register dated May 5, 2003, in the amount of $206,308.93; said amount having been certified and <br />appropriated. <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye. M2003 -161 <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board approves the Recreation <br />Refund Check Register dated May 5, 2003, in the amount of $754.25; said amount having been <br />certified and appropriated. <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye. M2003 -162 <br />Contract <br />Washington Township contracts with Magellan Behavioral Health, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for <br />an Employee Assistance Program. Our current contract with Magellan expires on May 31 st. <br />Staff is proposing to renew the contract for a twelve -month period beginning June 1, 2003, <br />running through May 31, 2004. There is no increase in cost being proposed by Magellan for the <br />next twelve -month period. <br />It was moved by Mr. Snyder, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board authorizes contracting with <br />Magellan Behavioral Health, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the Employee Assistance Program as <br />outlined in their proposal for a twelve -month period beginning June 1, 2003, and ending May 31, <br />2004, at the approximate cost of $8,005.00. <br />Vote on Motion: Snyder, aye; Blair, aye; Young, aye. M2003 -163 <br />CITIZEN CONCERNS <br />Mr. Rob Easterling, 10500 Watch Hill Lane, and his neighbor at 10541 Watch Hill Lane, attended <br />this Township meeting. Mr. Easterling expressed their concern about the proposed zoning <br />change of property on the south side of Social Row Road between Waterbury Woods and <br />Sheehan. He questioned why zoning changes are being considered prior to the results of a study <br />currently being conducted have been reviewed. This study is costing taxpayers approximately <br />$350,000.00 and its purpose is to assist with land planning and making development <br />5/5/03 <br />
