WINTER2015 • DEC.—FEB. • VOLUME25,NO.4 <br />SHINGTONTOWNSHIP <br />Holiday <br />Woodland Lights Celebrates 22 Years of Winter Magic <br />oodland Lights is celebrating its <br />22nd year with the traditional lights <br />and sights people have come to <br />love, plus extra sparkle and a full month of <br />activities. <br />The holiday lighting festival offers a magical <br />half -mile wooded path winding <br />through Countryside Park <br />where whimsical characters <br />and critters prepare for the <br />holidays. Festival goers can <br />walk the path to holiday <br />fun 6 to 9 p.m. nightly <br />Dec. 5-30, except Dec. <br />24 and 25. Woodland <br />Lights is located next to <br />the Washington Township <br />Recreation Center. <br />Favorite stopping points at Woodland <br />Lights include nine holiday window displays, an <br />interactive light display for hands-on fun, the <br />14th atuival collection of home- <br />made gingerbread houses, and a <br />lookout point at a scenic pond that <br />offers a panoramic anew of lights <br />and displa\-s <br />reflecting off <br />die water <br />WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP <br />MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO <br />children can visit a real-life Santa inside an <br />historic log cabin decorated for the holidays. <br />"Woodland Lights is a place that's magical and <br />enchanting Every year, we do our best to stay <br />true to that vision," said Linda Madden, event <br />coordinator. Highlights include more lights <br />and a host of special events. <br />All nights except Dec. 8, 9, 10, <br />15,16 and 17 are designated <br />as Activity Nights, with a full <br />0 0 range of festivities including <br />Santa visits, refreshments, <br />I/ bonfires, carriage rides, live <br />deer, amusement rides, cos- <br />tumed characters, games and extra <br />activities such as face painting. Kids <br />can play on a fun slide and enjoy six child - <br />size amusement rides including a train, Santa <br />suing, twister, Ferris wheel and pony carts. <br />For those who prefer a quieter experience and <br />a lower admission price, Nostalgia Nights on <br />Dec. 8, 9,10,15,16 and 17 offer the basics — <br />lights, Santa -,risits, refreshments and bonfires. <br />Admission is $3 on Nostalgia Nights and <br />$7 on Festival Nights, except for children <br />ages 2 and under who are always free. <br />
