<br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on October 17, 2005, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. Clerk-Treasurer Tom Zobrist was excused. Acting Clerk- <br /> <br />Treasurer Michael A. Barlow was present. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the pre-meeting <br />minutes and the minutes of the Regular meeting held October 3, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-355 <br /> <br />CLERK’S BUSINESS <br /> <br />Lighting District <br /> <br />The Township Clerk notified the Trustees on September 30, 2005, of a street lighting petition <br />received from Oberer Companies for Washington Trace, Section 2. Under the Ohio Revised <br />Code, a public hearing must be held within 30 days of notification to the Trustees; and, 15 <br />days prior, all landowners must be notified of the hearing. All landowners have been notified. <br />If approved by the Trustees, a contract with Miami Valley Lighting will be signed. The <br />developer has agreed to pay all of the up-front installation costs. Thereafter, the monthly <br />lease of the poles and fixtures and yearly lighting fees for usage will be assessed to the <br />property owners. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board authorizes approving the <br />Resolution for a lighting district at Washington Trace Section 2 called Washington Trace <br />Lighting District Two for six 9,500 Lumen HPS Acorn Style fixtures with fluted cast aluminum <br />poles, and that the Board also authorizes the Township Administrator to enter into a contract <br />with Miami Valley Lighting for said lighting district. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye. R2005-008 <br /> <br />Appropriation Transfer <br /> <br />Under State law a State line item account cannot carry a negative balance. To prevent an <br />account from going negative, staff needs approval from the Board of Trustees for an intra-fund <br />transfer. <br /> <br />The transfer is needed for sanitary work for new Fire Station 43 to extend the sewer line on <br />State Route 48. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the following <br />appropriation transfer: <br /> <br />From: To: <br /> <br />Fund: Fire (10) <br />10-01-5062 $30,000 10-01-5151 $30,000 <br />Building Contingency Improvements <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye.
