<br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Trustees met in Regular Session on July 11, 2005, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the Washington Township Government Center, 8200 McEwen Road. President <br />Snyder led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF PRECEEDING MEETINGS <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the Pre-Meeting Workshop and Regular meeting held June 20, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-234 <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Snyder, that the Board approves the minutes of <br />the Workshop held June 27, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Snyder, aye; Blair, abstained. M2005-235 <br /> <br />CLERK’S BUSINESS <br /> <br />Workers Compensation Group <br /> <br />The Township has again qualified for the OTA Worker’s Compensation Group Rating Plan. <br />The Township qualified for the 2005 plan year with premiums to be paid in 2006. This month, <br />the Township will re-enroll for the 2006 plan year. The OTA has selected Frank Gates <br />Company to be the group administrator for the group plan. If the Township qualifies for re- <br />enrollment, Frank Gates estimates the Township will save approximately $121,750 for the <br />2005 plan year and $141,500 for the 2006 plan year. To take advantage of the group rates, <br />the Township must contract with Frank Gates. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mrs. Young, seconded by Mr. Blair, that the Board approves contracting with <br />Frank Gates Service Company, Dublin, Ohio, for the annual service fee of $24,551 for the <br />period from July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006, to administer the OTA’s Worker’s <br />Compensation Group Rating Plan of which the Township is a member. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Young, aye; Blair, aye; Snyder, aye. M2005-236 <br /> <br />National Association of Towns and Townships <br /> <br />The National Association of Towns and Townships is having their annual conference in <br />Washington D.C. from September 6 through September 9, 2005. At this time staff would like <br />approval for the elected officials to attend. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Blair, seconded by Mrs. Young, that the Board authorizes expenses of <br />Washington Township’s elected officials associated with their attendance at the National <br />Association of Towns and Townships Conference in Washington D.C. from September 6 <br />through September 9, 2005. <br /> <br />Vote on Motion: Blair, aye; Young, aye; Snyder, aye.
