<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS MINUTES <br />October 26, 2009 <br /> <br />The Washington Township Board of Zoning Appeals met in regular session on Oct 26, 2009 in the <br />Meeting Room of Washington Township Government Center. Members of the Board present were Mr. <br />Horine, Mr. Schwartz, Mr. Roberts, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Mulligan. Mrs. Fish was excused. <br />Call to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mr. Horine explained the hearing format and voting procedure. <br />The Oath was administered by Mr. Horine. <br />Case-1592 Robert & Julie Ellis 1508 Haven Hill Drive <br />Mr. Horine- advised the audience that will not <br />be heard the request was withdrawn by the applicant. <br />Case –A1590: Dan & Angela Dunaway, 420 Wild Timber Lane <br /> <br />Request under Article 2, Section 3; a variance to Article 12, Section 12(A), to reduce the rear yard <br />setback requirement of fifty (50’) feet to forty five (45’) feet, a reduction/variance of five (5’) feet in the <br />rear yard setback to permit construction of a covered deck. <br /> <br />Mr. Wahl presented the facts of the case. <br />Mr. Horine- Would the applicant like to make a statement? <br />Angela Dunaway 420 Wild Timber Lane - I am the property owner and, as president of the homeowner’s <br />association, I also maintain the open space area directly behind my property. I also am the owner of a <br />two-acre parcel beside it. There are no other houses back there and will not be. This proposed project will <br />increase my property value. The roof will be the same as existing as the enclosure over covers part of the <br />existing deck. <br />Mr. Horine- Does the framing include timbers? <br />Mrs. Dunaway- It’s going to be large timbers, yes. <br />Mr. Horine- What kind of wood is it? <br />Mrs. Dunaway- Cedar that will be stained a brown color. I also have neighbors that have signed a letter <br />saying that they are in support of this project and have no concerns about it. <br /> <br />
